#tbt - Delightful Leftovers
One of the few static billboards left at FSD that I had the privilege to design.
I've always been a worker - probably to the point you could add -aholic to the end. One of the reasons that I stay extra busy with M&P Marketing is that I also work part-time at FSD (Sioux Falls Regional Airport) helping good folks Fly the Friendly Skies. You will catch me in the mornings a few days a week at the United ticket counter, or making announcements and boarding PAX at the gate. I always try to keep a positive attitude and completely enjoy seeing friendly faces and meeting new people on their travels.
I get my exercise with walks upstairs to the gate and when helping customers who request assistance. My multiple trips through security and back down to the ticket counter always give me a friendly reminder of my past professional life.
For ten years I was the Director of Marketing for WR Hospitality where I was responsible for all aspects of marketing for 27 restaurants and brands. This included planning, development and implementation of all of marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. I created branding from logos to campaigns, plus negotiated and bought advertising space for multiple brands.
The advertising for five of those restaurants greet me, and remind me of the talented people and vendors I created simple magic with. (Photos by Jeff Viere of http://www.imagery-photo.com/).
Next time you fly, stop by United and say hi - I'd love to hear about your adventure!
